The Ripper Round

The Ripper Round Tail offers greater versatility than its original squash tail counterpart by featuring a round tail that reduces surface area in the final inches. This design change enhances control at higher speeds and enables more precise turns in tight, powerful pockets. While it sacrifices only minimal lift and performance in smaller surf, it excels when waves gain size and power.

Whether carving long, drawn-out turns on overhead walls or executing quick snaps in steeper, dumpy conditions, the round tail elevates the Ripper beyond a small-wave groveler. The rocker, rails, and bottom contours remain largely unchanged, though the nose is slightly narrower and the tail has been subtly foiled for improved flow.

Stock dimensions are designed to be ridden about an inch longer than the original squash tail version, creating an effective one-two punch for a mini quiver that covers a wide range of typical surf conditions.

Pros:

* Improved control and precision in powerful, larger waves.
* Versatile for both long carves and quick, sharp turns.
* Slightly narrower nose and foiled tail enhance performance.
* Can be ridden slightly longer for added stability and drive.

Cons:

* Minor reduction in lift and performance in very small surf.
* May feel less playful compared to the original squash tail in tiny waves.
* Not ideal for surfers seeking a pure groveler for mushy conditions.

Summary:
The Ripper Round Tail is a versatile upgrade from the original squash tail model, offering surfers a board that performs confidently across a broader range of conditions. It combines speed, control, and maneuverability, making it an excellent choice for those who want a reliable mini quiver board capable of handling both punchy beach breaks and overhead walls with ease.
