The TJ Pro V is Taylor Jensen’s modern performance longboard engineered to bring high-level surfing into everyday conditions. Developed in collaboration with designer Dan Mann, this board builds on the foundation of the TJ Pro, tweaking key elements to make it faster, looser, and more forgiving without compromising Jensen’s elite-level expectations. The result is a “fun-formance” longboard that thrives in 2–6' surf—whether clean and glassy or mushy and unpredictable.

A lowered rocker improves paddling speed and glide, allowing surfers to connect sections effortlessly. The wider nose adds nose-riding stability, while the squash tail and spiral V out the back end invite a looser, more playful turning experience. The board’s versatility is further enhanced by its adaptable fin setup—ride it as a quad for speed and flow or a 2+1 for drive and control.

Pros:

  • Lower rocker increases paddling ease and speed across flat sections.

  • Wider nose improves tip-riding stability.

  • Spiral V tail and squash tail combo deliver fluid, responsive turns.

  • Flexible fin options (quad or 2+1) suit different wave types and styles.

  • Ideal for everyday surf, making it a reliable go-to longboard.

Cons:

  • May feel too performance-oriented for surfers seeking a traditional noserider feel.

  • In larger, more critical surf, some riders may want a board with more rocker or bite.

Summary:
The TJ Pro V strikes a balance between high-performance and everyday enjoyment, making it a standout option for longboarders looking to surf progressively in average conditions. Its speed, looseness, and adaptability make it a fun, modern longboard with the versatility to handle a range of wave types—perfect for those who want to mix traditional style with performance maneuverability.
