The Bento Box was conceived during a trip to Japan’s small but fun waves, combining inspiration from the WTF and Twin Keel Fish (TKF) models into a unique, high-performance fish shape. It blends the outline and rocker of the WTF with the deck profile of the TKF, resulting in a low fish-style rocker paired with a flatter deck and lower angular rails for enhanced responsiveness.
The fuller foil through the nose and center tapers into a thinner tail section, aiding speed and control. The rail tapers through the fin area into the tail block, creating a responsive tail that’s easy to set on edge. Bottom contours include a flat section under the nose flowing into a slight single concave through the center, vee out the tail, and a subtle double concave set in the fin area. A short slot channel out the tail adds release and bite, perfectly complementing the quad fin setup.
The outline is full, featuring a blunt rounded nose and a winged squash tail positioned near the back foot to reduce surface area, promote looseness, and create a natural pivot point during turns.
